Today, I went to the cinemas to watch The Karate Kid. And as luck would have it, it was sold out. Which meant that it was either Twilight or Toy Story 3. So hard to choose isn't it? Just kidding. It was the easiest decision ever. Although, I was tempted, since Toy Story 3 was filling up fast as well. Can't believe I even entertained the thought of watching Twilight.

So instead of watching Karate Kid, I watched Toy Story 3 with my dad. Yes, this was an outing with my dad. But these movie outings are the only times when I actually get to meet him so, yeah. Haven't seen a movie with my dad in a long time.

Watching Toy Story 3 was such a flashback to the past. I felt like an absolute little kid again. I remember when I was younger and watching Toy Story.

I actually quite liked the movie. I dunno what I was expecting other than the flashback, but I really liked it. I would totally go and watch it again. And I actually teared a bit at the end, in what will probably be my one my top favourite scenes ever.

WARNING: Spoilers ahead!!! I REPEAT SPOILERS AHEAD!!! DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILED!

Andy: [opens box, and takes out Jessie] This is Jessie, the roughest, toughest cowgirl in the whole west. She loves critters, but none more than her best pal, Bullseye!

Andy: Yee-haw!

Andy: Here. [hands Jessie and Bullseye out]<

Bonnie: [shyly walks over, and takes Jessie and Bullseyes, a smile on her face]

Andy: [pulls out Rex] This is Rex! The meanest, most terrifying dinosaur who ever lived! RAWR! RAWR!

Bonnie: [recoils a little, but the giggles, and takes Rex too]

Andy: [pulls out Mr and Mrs Potato Head] The Potato Heads: Mr and Mrs. You gotta keep them together because they're madly in love.

Andy: Now Slinky here, is as loyal as any dog you could want.

Andy: And Hamm, he'll keep your money safe, but he's also one of the most dastardly villains of all time: Evil Dr Porkchop!

Andy: These little dudes are from a strange alien world: Pizza Planet!

Andy: And this, is Buzz Lightyear, the coolest toy ever! Look! He can fly, oh, and shoot lasers!

Andy: He's sworn to protect the galaxy from the Evil Emperor Zurg!

Bonnie: [Bonnie takes Buzz from Andy, and presses one of the buttons on his spacesuit]

Buzz Lightyear: To Infinity, and Beyond!

Andy: Now, you gotta promise to take good care of these guys. They, mean, a lot to me.

Bonnie: [looks in box] OH!!! My Cowboy

Andy: [looks in, picks up Woody] What's he doing here?

Bonnie: [reaches for Woody]

Andy: [recoils with Woody, stares at Bonnie and then down at Woody]

Andy: Now Woody, he's been my pal for as long as I can remember. He's brave, like a cowboy should be. And kind, and smart. But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

[Andy and Bonnie play with the toys for awhile]

Andy: [taking a last look at his toys before he heads off to College] Thanks, guys.

It was so sad watching Andy part with Woody. Or I might just be a sap... yeah could be both. Made me want to hug Andy and take the Woody away from Bonnie. In the nicest way possible, although I believe I will still be called a baby bully. First time a movie, animated or not, has made me want to do something like this to a child who did not deserve it. Andy's heartbroken look made me want to hug the guy. This scene made me tear a bit. Especially when Bonnie goes to reach for Woody and Andy completely recoils. *sob* And then as he leaves and he waves goodbye, he is fine until Woody waves goodbye, and then he tears up.

Sigh... the end of an era. The end to my childhood? I dunno... maybe... I don't think there is much that will have a flashback like this movie did for me.
